Ramen Bar, Newtown - or - The Magic Window
And the Detective left happy and full. A tasty lunch, Molly, for a decent price. The large benches make for a friendly, sharing atmosphere. Should be fairly cool in Summer, with a second storey above to insulate it. And ideal in Winter with the hot soup.

I'm so glad they didn't go the boring route and just have coffee at Berkelouw. Must try this place.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, great post boys & girls. You know I heard a rumour that the Ramen Bar closed down this week....very sad state of affairs if it's true.
ReplyDeleteMissPiggy: Whaaat? I go on a little holiday and come back to this! :( I must investigate.
ReplyDeleteAt least there are a few new things which have popped up in my absence as well.
Lucas: Oh, they have the boring stuff upstairs. Haven't tried it yet, but it's on the list.
Well, I'm sad to report that Ramen Bar has indeed closed. A sign downstairs at Berkelouw says "Mum & Bub friendly cafe opening soon."
ReplyDeleteI love your style of reporting restaurant reviews; it'd definitely different and tres cool! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteRamen Bar was awesome, so sad to see it closed :(
